Harry Edward Styles or Harry Styles as he's referred to in the music world is an British composer and singer. Harry Styles belongs to the band One Direction. Based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles was a student at Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, where together with his three classmates He formed his own group, White Eskimo. In 2009 they participated in the Battle of Bands where thanks to their impressive performances they won. He was always interested in music but wanted to become the next lawyer or physical therapist. In order to provide for the needs of his children, he took some time at a bakery. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition where he sang the Stevie Wonder's track Is not She Lovely. Because of this, his group had to be split. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles to be a part of a new band called One Direction. The other group members included Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group and they were founded in the year 2010. The group sang The Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would be Sucking Without You as well as Bonnie Tyler Total Eclipse of the Heart. As a result, they made it to the finalists. They came third behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell were not able to take home the prize. However Cowell provided Harry Styles a 2 million pounds contract with Syco.
