Anna Silk is a Fredericton resident, and is the daughter of Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had numerous skills, such as being able to direct, act and produce plays, as well as write them teaching, as well as be the Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Anna was born in Fredericton, the daughter of Peter Silk and Ilkay Silk. Her mother is an "English-Turkish Cypriot expat" that is originally from Britain. Anna remembers attending the rehearsals of performances as a kid as well as watching her mother doing her job. At the beginning of her career, Anna appeared on several television commercials. Anna was able to move to Toronto in Ontario to pursue her acting. Over the years which followed, she relocated into Los Angeles. She was introduced to Seth Cooperman in 2007 at an actor's workshop held in Los Angeles, and they became engaged in 2009. Anna has since converted to Judaism in the year before, and Seth Cooperman were married in December 2010 in Fredericton. In April 2011, they renewed their wedding vows by having the traditional Jewish ceremony. Bo's same-sex relationship with Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was noted in the list of CNN's all-time favorite Television Couples and named the Top TV Couple of 2013, by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's social media following grew due to the popularity of her TV show.
