Amy Smart has been a model, actress and former American. Amy Smart was born and was raised in California, United States of America. She began the modeling profession in Italy. Her first role as an actor was in 1996's TV production Her Costly Affair. Following a long and difficult battle, she landed a role as 'Starship Troopers' in starring in Starship Troopers. It was a difficult transition for Amy since she needed to move from modelling into performing. Models aren't regarded as the best actors and so tend to be given smaller roles that aren't very important. However, Amy refused to give up and transitioned to bigger roles eventually starting with the series The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. Amy was then promoted to lead parts in 2005's romantic comedy Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. The film was a major box office success and Amy was finally able to get the fame she had been seeking for more than a decade. She continued with major films such as the Crank series opposite Jason Statham and the series Shameless where she played an adored recurring character.
