Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, passed away January 19, 2008, in the US. She was an American film theatre, television, and voice actress. Pleshette began her career in theatre. She appeared in films towards the end of the 1950s. Later, she was a prominent actor in movies like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (633) and Spirited Away (11). She later appeared in various television productions, often in guest roles, and she was Emily Hartley on The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978, earning several Emmy Award nominations for her work. Pleshette was the daughter of Geraldine (nee Kaplan), and Eugene Pleshette. She was born in Brooklyn Heights, New York City on the 31st of January 1937. Her parents were Jewish and were the descendants of immigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was an artist and dancer who performed under the stage name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage manager at both the Paramount Theater and the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
